GSTN introduces Multistate Registration facility to simplify GST registration across States/UTs

GSTN introduces a “Multistate Registration” facility enabling Normal Taxpayers to apply for GST registration in multiple States/UTs under the same PAN through a single process. The taxpayer selects the required States/UTs on the Common Portal, following which a Master TRN is generated for submitting common registration information within 15 days. The common information, including business details, promoter/partner details, authorised signatory, authorised representative and goods/services, is then auto-populated in individual State/UT applications. Applicants only need to provide State-specific details such as PPoB, APoB and Aadhaar authentication separately for each registration. The facility reduces repetitive data entry and is aimed at facilitating ease of doing business.
